Our Lounge

Morio Lounge is your home-from-home in Barry, serving delicious food and drinks from morning ‘til night, right on the waterfront. We’re here to bring people together, and our atmosphere evolves throughout the day as new faces arrive. We’re proud of our Lounge and the community around it, with one simple aim: to make sure everyone leaves with a smile.

Morio has been a long time in the making, transforming the long disused former toilet block on Nell’s Point into a new spot ready for locals to make their own.

Our menu caters for all tastes, including dedicated gluten-free and vegan choices. You’ll also find board games for all ages, toys to keep little ones busy, and even treats for our four-legged friends. Whoever you are and whatever you’re here for, we’ll make sure you feel looked after.

Little Loungers Passport

We’ve teamed up with Cawston Press this summer to introduce the Little Loungers Summer Passport. All the fun of our regular passport, but with kid-friendly rewards and prizes!

This includes free milkshakes and desserts, as well as the chance to enter prize draws to win Merlin attraction tickets and back-to-school bundles courtesy of Frugi.

Morio Lounge is a laid-back café-bar on Whitmore Bay in Barry, offering tasty food from morning to evening, seven days a week. We're proud of our Lounge and the community around it, with one simple aim: to make sure everyone leaves with a smile. Step inside, get comfy, and make yourself at home. Morio means to sail, voyage or navigate in Welsh. As well as being a seafront site, it is adjacent to Barry Docks, once one of the busiest coal ports in the world.

Great British Summer Savings

As part of the UK government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme, VAT charged on our Little Loungers’ menu has dropped from the usual 20% down to 5% from 25th June until 1st September 2026. Please see our web menus for our new lower prices for this summer.
